Configure Groq for Verity JE without exposing the API key to URLs, analytics, screenshots, or third-party guide forms.

Safe sequence

Install and launch the correct Verity JE profile first. Create a key in GroqCloud, follow the maintainer setup video, and test a short text request. Rotate the key immediately if it appears in a screenshot, public log, browser URL, or shared config.

Failure meanings

401/unauthorized usually means the stored key is missing or rejected. 429 usually means a rate or quota limit. A Minecraft crash before the world loads is not a Groq-key problem.

What this site can inspect

The local doctor can identify logs that mention a Groq error pattern, but it redacts and never uploads the surrounding content. It cannot test the key itself—and should not.
